Once the Web App gets created, an FTP URL will get generated. To access the FTP path or to upload the application/web content to the App Service FTP access is mandatory. This article guides to get FTP credentials for an App Service.
Log in to the Azure portal: https://portal.azure.com
Navigate to More Services from the left tile.
In the search input section, type App Services and choose the same.
Select the appropriate App Service from the list. [In this example, it is techsignapp].
To Get The Default Credentials:
Under Overview section, choose to Get publish profile from the top navigation bar.
It will download the publish file to the specified location.
Open the publish profile file using notepad or relevant application. [This will provide the FTP URL, Username, and Password]
Create NEW FTP Credentials:
Navigate to Deployment and choose Deployment Credentials.
Type New deployment username and password.
Note: These credentials will overwrite the default credentials.
Click on Save to commit the changes.
Check the Notifications bar for the status.
